My education and background is in film scholarship, but it seems like I'm always writing or doing talks on TV and/or comics instead. You've probably noticed my interest in the comic form. If that puzzles you at all -- if you're not sure what the big deal is, see if you can see what is so brilliant about Chris Ware:
"The New Yorker has a slew of excellent Chris Ware content on their site, including last week's four Ware covers, and exclusive online strip, and audio of Chris talking about his five-part work. Go here." Specifically look at the one sheet on the lost soldier - that's what a single comics page can do!
Seriously. Go there!
(Then go back to looking for an internship)
PS. This one's for Sam. Have you ever heard of this store. ? Actually I just linked to a blog, but if you hit the Family icon, it'll take you to the store. The blog has some good Saul Bass stuff though. I don't know the store, but it seems right up my alley.
