Hi all.
So I've been in Durham the past week meeting the 2009 Duke in LA Class. What that means is that I have awoken and will now start posting various bits of information about the program, as well as other points of interest in terms of genre, which is our primary area of study. The new group of students will be joining and I tend to remove the prior students as listed members unless you post and say you want to stay. I'll make that cut at the end of the year so let me know if you want to stay on the blog.
On another matter, my most frequently asked question this time of year is: "How does the new group look?"
My response is usually, "Too soon to tell; I'll let you know."
This go around, let me say I'm cautiously optimistic that it's going to be a strong year. That's a good sign. We've currently got a class of 11, made up of 8 women, and 3 males. More sophomores than usual (3) and no seniors (Hoorah!). Lots of interest in Park LaBrea for housing this year, which is a big change from prior years.
