I'm repeating as post from last year that you should consider, I'd definitely give this a high recommendation:
For those of you who wanted internships in finance departments and other spots more business than creative focused, this sounds like a great opportunity [they have creative positions also]:
The Film Department is a new independent movie finance, production and
international sales company founded by former Warner Independent and
Miramax Films president Mark Gill and former Miramax executive vice
president and Yari Film Group COO Neil Sacker. The company plans to
produce six films per year budgeted between $10 and $35 million. In
its first five years, total production value is expected to reach $725
million. The company will fully finance its films and license them to
domestic and international distributors through an in-house sales
unit. It plans to make star-driven, commercial pictures at the high
end of every genre that appeal to a worldwide audience (notably
thrillers, dramas, comedies, romantic comedies, action and horror
films).
E-mail me via my e-mail address and I'll give you the contact info for the human resource director/Duke alum. Their offices are in West Hollywood.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZINGGGG!!!
Actually their office is just two floors below Miramax's in the same building, so that's pretty cool because it's smack dab in the middle of Sunset Blvd. Let me know if you need suggestions for lunch! If you work there you have to check out Cafe Med, Caffe Primo, Poquito Mas, and Mel's. Soooo good.
Anyway on to the actual internship, it was definitely a great experience and everyone there is super super super nice. You won't see a "swimming with sharks" scenario there because they're really accommodating and appreciative towards their interns.
If you work in finance, I can personally guarantee you'll love the team. The other development interns seem to really enjoy their jobs as well, because it's a small cozy environment but they are all hilarious and ahhh I miss working there!!
So anyway if you have more questions feel free to email me (TKL4@duke.edu) and I'll try to help you out to the best of my ability. Happy job hunting!
Oh and Jim, I'm not sure if you know this but Sara no longer works at TFD anymore. I can find out the new HR person for you if you'd like, but I think it'd be a good idea for you to refer those who are interested in TFD to me first, what do you think?
