I just came across this site, and I have to say it's one of the most comprehensive noir sites I've seen. Many of you have said I love film, but I really need to see more. Noir (along with musicals and westerns) is the quintessential American film genre and, more importantly, you can probably learn more about setting, lighting and screen-writing, by studying these films. There's a lot of great LA noirs that can get you primed for the semester as well. (The Big Knife being a perfect example).
Spend ten minutes a day for a couple of weeks on the noir site and you'll know more than your fellow internsh when you start your jobs.
